Autumn Doucet

Originally from Cajun Louisiana, Autumn struck out early in life and found her true home in the Pacific Northwest in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. She reveres wood and finds solace in its warmth, beauty and complexity. Most often creating one-of-a-kind pieces, she enjoys the feel of hand tools and eschews the impersonal revving and shriek of routers and their ilk. She also wishes watermelon grew as big and sweet as they do in the south.

Hi Autumn. I’m not sure this is the appropriate place but I want to congratulate you for your award in Popular Woodworking Magazine. What a terrific piece you made. Continued success to you. –Lenny Butler, Rhode Island
